Traveler,
This is the time of year I call
“home exchange month”. The memories of last
holiday season fade away (only the good ones, the bad ones hopefully have
long gone). You might think about that ski trip or spring break that you have
lined up for the next couple of weeks or months. But for most of us – especially
if you live in a cold northern climate – it’s the time cabin fever starts to set
in. That’s when I gear up to organize my family’s annual summer home exchange.
There is no better way to blow away the winter blues than combing
through new listings in undiscovered areas and getting in touch with fellow home
exchangers in search for another great home exchange
adventure.

Do you like to watch Olympic events
online or on TV? I have never observed Olympic Games live, however, I
definitely would want to experience the “real thing” if I were living
within driving distance. How about you Californians? I
bet there are some Olympic-tired Vancouverites just waiting for your home
exchange offer in the sun, but hurry!

think. Not much, indeed, except that I know home exchangers love
to travel and this trip promises authentic traveling without
compromising local culture. What struck me most, however, was
Dianne Aigaki’s approach to life and this is what I couldn’t help
wanting to share with you. Dianne, a botanical illustrator, wrote her life List
according to explorer John Goddard in 1981 and has been pursuing her
dreams ever since…I warn you, her example could be an
inspiration to start planning your next home exchange vacation and
more!
